I have always felt uncomfortable on how overused Flex complex collections are compared to simply using arrays. In so many cases, people use ArrayCollections when a simple array would suffice. Your blog so clearly demonstrates why I am so paranoid about using these types of collections. Unfortunately, I tried turning on the legacy-collection setting, and I did not see such a noticeable performance boost. Since, spark dataProviders require a more complex object, I still have to set the returned array's to an ArrayCollection object. Did you have to do more on the flex side to take advantage of this performance increase?

Hi Jon,

Please see the attachment for FlexMonkium recorded code

try {
				if (proc.getBoolean("isFlexMonkey", new String[] {"             "})) break;
			} catch (Exception e) { }
			Thread.sleep(500);

The Entry Point is the column name being clicked but its recorded as value=\"vteamId\"/>.

The Main problem i am facing is that recorded snipped of code is not playing back but whatever the click the tool is clicking is the column name dybnmically added to advanceddatagrid.

Thanks in Advance,
Nagesh

Very nicely done!
Are you planning a tutorial on how to integrate with maven\flexmojos without the ant build too? it would be really great!

1) The iPhone:

Flex apps can be ported over to Iphone with build in HTML 5 Converter. In face the number one new selling application in the iStore was created in flex.

3) Low Bandwidth Clients:

Flex application are stored on the client machine so unlike a dhtml application once the GUI is there only data needs to be transfered. This results in better Bandwidth. Additional the AMF protocol has been shown to be up to 10000x times faster then AJAX increasing Bandwidth performance.

Flex Applications can be deployed to Android, IOS, Windows, BlackBerry Playbook and etc. With one code base ;)

Hi Jon,

Thank you very much for the tutorials you provided.

We have noticed that when we generate FlexUnit tests from FlexMonkey Reloaded,
          its generating like below instead of what you showed in the above video .

private static function setupnewAdforNetwork0001WithrequiredfieldsforpausedAdCommandArray(arr:Array):void {
            var theRunnable:MonkeyRunnable=null;
            theRunnable=new UIEventMonkeyCommand('Click', 'adAccelerator', 'automationName', [null], '', '', '1000', '10', false);
            arr.push([theRunnable]);

            theRunnable=new UIEventMonkeyCommand('Open', 'adAccelerator', 'automationName', [null], '', '', '1000', '10', false);
            arr.push([theRunnable]);

We are just wondering which one is the correct syntax?

Please help us to get ride of this problem.

Many Thanks,
Anil

Hello,

I'm testing with excellent results the FlexMonkey Reloaded. I am with the following difficulty when trying to use the automatically generated class to simulate the operation: I did a simple test to fill login and password at the login screen of the system. This test works fine when I'm in flexmokey environment. When I try to use the class FlexMonkeyTestController inside my application, the values that are inserted in the text boxes are duplicates (eg "loginlogin"). Can you help me?
